Three Auckland Nocturnes is a 10-minute work in three continuous movements, for full plectrum orchestra plus optional flute and accordion. It was commissioned from Yvette Audain by the Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra and will be performed by them here as part of their in-house concert for the Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensembles’ (FAME) 2008 International Festival.
