Wellington Brass Band plays music by New Zealand composers

Wellington Brass Band, under the direction David Bremner, offer a concert celebrating rarely-heard New Zealand works for brass band. Thh concert will also feature composers talking about their compositions (composers appearing still TBC). Works by John Psathas, Anthony Ritchie, John Rimmer, Aaron Lloydd, Ken Young and Ross Harris are on the programme.

The band will also be launching, at the concert, Renaissance, their new CD. The disk celebrates the journey the Wellington Brass Band has taken over the past five years, and features four outstanding New Zealand soloists: Trevor Bremner, Cornet; David Chaulk, Euphonium; Byron Newton, Euphonium; and Mark Davey, Trombone.
