The first in a series of concerts aiming to bring a diverse range of people and music together with a special focus on performing new “classical” chamber music by local composers.

To be held at the welcoming Church Bar and Restaurant, with hardwood floors, high ceilings and great acoustics, featuring new works by Anthony Ritchie, Kerian Varaine, Chris Adams, Tom Jensen, James Exton and guest composer Robbie Ellis.

Also performing are Eletro-acoustic duo Tsunami No Orikata, and Justin Taulu will be showing an Animation with live soundtrack by the Surgical Department. Recently added to the programme is the Dunedin based Winds of the Andes, a traditional South American folk Duo playing songs from around the continent using traditional instruments.

CD’s of the music will be for sale at the door, including the first Chamber Vulgarus CD with recordings of all the music that will be performed at the concert.

Tickets will be $10 on the door, which includes a free beer, wine or juice at the bar
