Donaueschinger Musiktage 2010

17 October 2010 11:30 AM

The Donaueschingen Festival was founded in 1921 and is today one of the oldest and most traditional festivals for new music in the world.

While the string quartet forms the focus of this year’s Donaueschinger Musiktage (15-17 October), this concert features the Radio Kamerfilharmonie Hilversum under the baton of Peter Eötvös.

The concert consists of four premieres of works from composers across the globe: Michael Norris (New Zealand), Felipe Lara (Brazil), Simon Steen-Andersen (Denmark) and Marco Stroppa (Italy). The works were especially commissioned for Donaueschinger Musiktage by the Südwestrundfunk (SWR).
