Take Flight Première Concert

27 June 2010 1:00 PM

The Take Flight album of piano music for intermediate pianists was published this year by Sunrise Music Trust. This première concert celebrates its publication, and is to thank the Wellington Piano and Instrumental Group, without which the book would not have been possible.

In this concert the student performers (and one or two tutors) will present 50 of the 55 works by thirty New Zealand composers that comprise the Take Flight album.

The celebrations will conclude with a presentation to each performer, after which an archival photograph will be taken of the complete group. The audience are cordially invited to afternoon tea in the foyer downstairs at the conclusion of the concert.
