In their final concert for the year, the Nelson Symphony Orchestra take their audience to the other side of the world for a celebration of music about Scotland. Hamish McCunn’s Land of the Mountain and the Flood, Bruch’s Scottish Fantasia (soloist: John Thomson), and Arnold’s testing Scottish Dances unite for a journey of haggis, lochs, heather and tartan before returning to NZ for Douglas Lilburn’s Forest. The Symphony are conducted by Mick Dowrick.
