Now in its 3rd year, the NZ Woodwind Competition 2010 once again will encourage the musical development of students of saxophone, flute, clarinet, oboe, recorder and bassoon, at all levels.

Over this weekend the competition entrants will be given the opportunity to compete in a supportive environment, gain valuable experience and feedback, and have the option to use this performance opportunity for an NCEA or University assessment – plus the chance to win fabulous prizes! Audiences will be treated to a wide variety of music and performances from the five classes: Primary, Intermediate, Secondary, Tertiary and Adult Open. SOUNZ sponsors a prize in each of these classes for the Best Performance of a New Zealand work.
