Part of the St Andrew’s Season of Concerts for March 2010.

The Dominion String Quartet champion the chamber music of Alfred Hill that they have so successfully recorded in recent years. As an introduction to this concert, Prof. Donald Maurice will give a presentation on the 17 string quartets written by New Zealand’s first professional composer. The quartet will follow this with a performance of three of these works: String Quartets No. 8, 10 and 11.
