Josef Špaček, winner of the 2009 Michael Hill International Violin Competition, tours the country with pianist Michael Houstoun for Chamber Music New Zealand. This concert is also part of the 2010 Nelson School of Music Winter Festival.

In this concert he includes Wakatipu , the solo violin test piece written specifically for last year’s competition by Gareth Farr. Also on the programme are works from Bach, Mozart, Ysaÿe, Prokofiev and Smetana.
