Keith Lewis (tenor) and Michael Houstoun (piano) present a recital spanning over 300 years of song, from Henry Purcell, through Samuel Barber and Benjamin Britten. The recital culminates in the premiere of a song cycle setting from Jenny McLeod of seven poems by Janet Frame.

This concert is part of the New Zealand International Arts Festival Chamber Music weekend.

[Regular festival-goers may recall that Jenny also contributed a premiere of a song cycle setting of Janet Frame songs to the 2008 NZIAF: The Poet for the Tower Voices NZ and the NZSQ.]
