The Secret Suffragette by David Griffiths tells the story of his great, great grandmother Mary Muller who campaigned for women’s rights in the 1800s. Four performances of the opera will be performed by music students from the University of Waikato’s Music Department, conducted by James Tennant at the Academy of Performing Arts from August 20-22 including a Saturday matinee.
