All accordionists who have been taking part in the 2009 Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships & Festival hosted by the New Zealand Accordion Association (NZAA) are invited to take part in the massed World Accordion Orchestra III. This performance is a finale for the Festival.

Among the works performed will be the premiere of Auckland March by Gary Daverne, especially commissioned for the occasion by the NZAA with assistance from the ASB Community Trust, along with Additionally, the massed New Zealand Accordion Orchestra will be performing Daverne’s A Musical Party which was commissioned by the NZAA to commemorate it’s 30th anniversary in June 2001, and dedicated to NZAA Life Member Silvio de Pra.
