Ariana Tikao (Ngai Tahu) explores through music, messages from her great great grandfather, Tamati Tikao. His Ōhākī, or dying message was spoken to his family on September 27, 1885 at Opukutahi on Banks Peninsula. He died two days later.

She collaborates with taonga puoro legend, Richard Nunns and film maker Louise Potiki Bryant to produce a spellbinding work connecting whakapapa and ancestral deeds.
