Hamilton-based composer Lizzie Dobson is one of ten international composers to be selected to write a new piece for the 2009 Bang on a Can festival, which will be performed and recorded in July. She is the first Kiwi EVER invited to attend!

The Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA (the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), USA is dedicated entirely to adventurous contemporary music. It is a residency programme for top international composers and performers.

This concert is to help raise funds for Lizzie to attend!

Featuring awesome contemporary classical music and NZ compositions by Martin Lodge, Michael Williams, David Farquhar, Jenny Mcleod, Lizzie Dobson, Hannah Gilmour, and performances by Lara Hall, Hillary scholars and other students.
