Each member of Ensemble Paladino is a renowned soloist, but their consummate abilities as chamber musicians have made Ensemble Paladino a group remarkable for its innovative repertoire choices. Here they showcase the work of Vanhal and Pleyel, alongside an arrangement by Hummel of the D Minor Piano Concerto by his teacher, Mozart. A new composition by Leonie Holmes completes their programme.
Simone Roggen, James Tibbles, and Martin Rummel will be familiar to New Zealand audiences; Eric Lamb, one of the most eminent flute soloists on the international stage, now works here frequently as a performer and pedagogue throughout the country.
