James Rodgers is a music graduate of Victoria University in 2005 and the Manhattan School of Music.
James took the title role in Albert Herring in the Merola Opera Program in San Francisco and sang in the Schwabacher Recital Series. In 2009, he appeared at the Ravinia Festival as Billy in Mahagonny Songspiel and in Die Zauberflöte for Southern Opera in Christchurch.
The programme for this concert includes Britten’s Winter Words, songs from Op 26 by Rachmaninoff, and Liliburn’s Sings Harry. This recital is being jointly presented by the New Zealand School of Music and the Lankhuyzen/Whetu Kairangi Masonic Trust.
