Award Information

This occasional, substantial award was originally instigated by Douglas Lilburn, and is funded by the Lilburn Trust which he set up in 1984. The award is administered by the Alexander Turnbull Library Endowment Trust, by recommendation from the Music Committee of the Lilburn Trust, to recognise people who have made an outstanding contribution to New Zealand music.
