Award Information

The NZSO-SOUNZ-RNZC Recordings is a collaboration between the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Centre for New Zealand Music (SOUNZ) and Radio New Zealand Concert, and aims to increase opportunities for the performance, recording, broadcast and promotion of orchestral music by New Zealand composers. The project will deliver up to 80 minutes of new New Zealand orchestral recordings annually. Following the recording sessions, the works will be available to hear as full-length streaming audio on SOUNZ’s Media On Demand platform, and on Radio New Zealand Concert’s website.

Between 1998 and 2011 these sessions were known as the NZSO-SOUNZ Readings. You can read more about the ‘old Readings’ and the works that were recorded here
