Award Information
The NZSO-SOUNZ-RNZC Recordings is a collaboration between the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Centre for New Zealand Music (SOUNZ) and Radio New Zealand Concert, and aims to create high quality recordings of New Zealand orchestral works suitable for promotion to a range of orchestras, and to broadcasters. The project will deliver up to 80 minutes of new New Zealand orchestral recordings annually. Following the recording sessions and the final editing process, the works will be available to hear as full-length streaming audio on SOUNZ’s Media On Demand platform, and on Radio New Zealand Concert’s website.
Between 1998 and 2011 these sessions were known as the NZSO-SOUNZ Readings. You can read more about the ‘old Readings’ and the works that were recorded here
