Venue Profile
Capital E is a not-for-profit organisation with the sole focus on children and their creativity. It is an award-winning facility, based in Wellington, New Zealand, attracting up to 200,000 visitors each year. The National Theatre for Children, based out of Capital E, also tours nationally and internationally.
Capital E venues are used for multiple purposes, including launches, theatre shows, team building, children’s performances and exhibitions. These facilities include:
The Main Hall: This is the biggest space at Capital E and is available for a variety of functions. The space is approximately 800 square metres in size. Types of uses include interactive exhibitions, concerts, theatre shows, team building, and large hospitality events.
The McKenzie Theatre: An intimate 110-seat theatre available for public or private use. This space is perfect for performances, presentations, debates, showcases, discussion groups, lectures or speakers. Hiring of the theatre includes the use of the theatre foyer, which can be used for pre or post dinner drinks.
