Federation Hall is attached to the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart’s CBD. The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is happily housed in this controversial new building which gives Tasmania its largest purpose-built convention facility. Love it or hate it—there is no ignoring the brass-clad exterior! The Concert Hall and Convention Centre has tiered seating for 1100 people and the ballroom accommodates 1000.
