Sally Bodkin-Allen

Biography

Sally Bodkin-Allen is the Research Manager at the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) in Invercargill where she also teaches on the Bachelor of Contemporary Music degree. She is married to a musician and a mother of five children, who play a variety of instruments among them. Sally is a board member of ANZARME (Australia New Zealand Association for Research in Music Education) and a board member of the Outreach Singing Aotearoa Trust. Sally writes a lot of music for children to perform in local competitions and for NCEA. Recently her focus has been writing choral compositions suitable for The Big Sing and arranging works for the local brass band.
