SOUNZ Memberships
SOUNZ Membership allows you to make the most of our services and show your support for New Zealand music.
There are four types of membership:

Registered Website User
Much of the information on this SOUNZ website is freely available to any visitor to www.sounz.org.nz However, some benefits and facilities only become available once you have registered as a SOUNZ website user.
This is free.
Simply click here , or on the 'Join' link on the home page or top right hand corner of any other page. You will then be able to purchase online, elect to receive SOUNZ email updates or proceed to become an Online, Library or Contributor Member of SOUNZ.
Online membership
Benefits include:
- 10% discount on purchases (excluding downloads)
- access to sale of scores, recordings and other materials through download
- email news
- special offers for events and products
- the facility to save searches and return to them at a later date
Membership is either for three or twelve months from the date of joining.
Costs are as follows:
Three month membership | $20 | |
Annual membership | $40 |

Library Membership
Borrow scores and recordings from our extensive collection of more than 5,500 scores, recordings and publications for up to two months by joining the SOUNZ library.
Library Membership is for twelve months from the date of joining.
Costs are as follows:
Individual | Standard (up to 25 items per year) $40 Supersize (unlimited borrowing) $60 | |
Small Organisation | Standard (up to 40 items per year) $75 Supersize (unlimited borrowing) $110 | |
Large Organisation | Standard (up to 50 items per year) $100 Supersize (unlimited borrowing) $150 |
Small organisations include schools and choirs. Large organisations include tertiary institutions and orchestras. Please read the Terms and Conditions of SOUNZ Library Membership and also the General Terms and Conditions for the use of the SOUNZ website before registering. You will be agreeing to these Terms and Conditions when you take out membership.
Individual members can buy a Library Membership online now. Registering for library membership via the website means you will be able to make your library orders online by adding Items with a 'borrow' button to your shopping cart.

Contributor Membership
Contributor membership is free. Many people and organisations contribute to the richness and diversity of the New Zealand music which is promoted and provided through SOUNZ: composers, performers, commissioners, funders, presenters, publishers, recording companies, venues and so on. Registering as a SOUNZ Contributor Member will allow you to keep us informed of your activities including programmes, performances and changes in profile. Click here for more information.
